Related: About this forumFlaherty resignation creates Economic Action Plan’s first job
OTTAWA - Canadas Economic Action Plan, which cost $60 billion of the past five years, created its first job opening today when Finance Minister Jim Flaherty resigned.
Flaherty explained that his resignation is a sign that the most expensive program in Canadian history is now paying off.
Nothing makes me prouder than the knowledge that my last official act created a job, Flaherty said as he reflected on his eight year reign as Finance Minister. Im glad the pressure is off now and we can label my tenure a success.
And now that weve declared victory, there is no need to evaluate or audit the program, Flaherty added as he shredded all documents pertaining to the program's oversight.
At press time, the federal government had begun a $10 million ad campaign to find a replacement in the Conservative caucus, but Human Resources is unsure if there are any skilled applicants to fill the position.

Just wait a minute!
Flaherty, has nothing to do with it.
The credit goes solely to the shoe-salesman, who sold him the wrong size of shoes.

As can be seen clearly, in the previous link, there were signs that Flaherty didn't want to buy a new pair-of-shoes.
Hadn't the shoe-salesman sold Flaherty, the wrong size of shoes, you wouldn't have a story, here!
Good one. Did you know that most Canadians think that the so-called "Economic Action Plan" actually exists? For all you Statesiders, the EAP is a false program that has been extensively advertised by the ruling Conservatives for a couple of years now to give the false impression that the PM actually has a passing interest in the well-being of the people.
Do you think this means that Flaherty plans to unseat Harper? Hope not.
