Tories reject NDP query on temporary workers program

The government is refusing to release detailed information on the controversial Temporary Foreign Workers program on the grounds that doing so "would produce a prohibitively large document."

Last month, New Democrat MP Jinny Sims filed a written query for a full breakdown of all TFW-related Labour Market Opinions issued by the department since 2000, including the total number of applications submitted, approved and denied broken down by year, region and province.

She also wanted to know the average length of time taken to reach a decision, and the median length of time that employers reported advertising for Canadian workers before applying for an LMO.

The government has finally admitted that they can't even be bothered to come up a good excuse anymore.
Here's some suggestions:

"We can't produce this prohibitively large document, because we're too busy writing other prohibitively large omnibus bills"

"We did actually produce that prohibitively large document, but Stanley the cat puked all over it, and we're not going through all that work again"

"We did actually produce that prohibitively large document, but it was stolen in a data breach"

"We did actually produce that prohibitively large document, its called "A Great Game", by Stephen J. Harper and its now available in discount bins at your local Walmart"

"We won't produce that prohibitively large document, because it would require lots of paper, and we're concerned about the environment... you know trees and stuff"

"We can't produce that prohibitively large document, because we haven't gotten clearance from our corporate masters"

In other words, they don't mind prohibitively large documents when it favours them.
