the Ottawa police under the previous police did not take action when they could have. Hopefully, with these changes, the situation in Ottawa will be dealt with very quickly.

our cops do unless it's white supremacists. But as soon as they started harassing people they should have.

The protesters' rights were respected when they were following the law and not breaking it but, once the laws were broken and the Premier and the Mayor of Ottawa declared a state of emergency, the Ottawa had the authority to act and they did not do so.

many protests have taken place there. The minute they started interfering with the lives of Ottawa citizens by 24 hour honking, using their trucks to block streets, harassing people, the Ottawa police had the authority to act and they didn't, imo.

I understand the thought that maybe giving them a day or two before taking action would be okay but when they did not stop after that, action should have been taken.

and our cops do not routinely "move in and use riot control tactics" in peaceful protests. They would definitely have used riot gear and tactics on January 6th, if the PTB at the time, hadn't failed to notify them.

Should have been greeted at the city limits with tow trucks or military checkpoints. These terrorists have been coddled for weeks and that only happened because a failure to take swift and decisive action occurred.

I heard Sloly or someone else high in police or security say early on something like "We didn't know they wuz gonna stay". There were numerous indicators they would.
