DO NOT DO AN O/S UPDATE FOR THE NEXT FOUR DAYS

There's a problem with the Thunderbolt driver update that causes a kernel panic. I spent four hours recovering (reply if you want to know the procedure).

Apple says they'll have it fixed in four days.

They walked me through how to do a reinstall and it came back up perfectly with all apps and data intact. I ran a backup two nights ago and I'll probably try the upgrade again this weekend.
