Andrew Gillum?

The 2018 Democratic Gubernatorial Nominee for FL who happens to be black.

I am guessing opposition to a progressive candidate is why conservative black voters went red.

It's important to give those numbers because of the way you phrased your post...making it seem like Black voters were a huge part of that red result. I'm betting that it was a small minority of Black voters and conversely majority of Latino voters afraid of the socialism bogeyman the Gillum was painted as.

Democrats scare middle class voters of all types but when most hear about “socialism” they think Maduro, Ortega or Castro and not Denmark. Heck, Denmark had to come out and say they were capitalist.

It would have been like the Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama ticket of FL except Gwen Graham is Bob Graham’s daughter not wife.
