All the mayflies come up out of the Mississippi River and cover absolutely everything near the river. I've had to use my windshield wipers to be able to see out the car. Fortunately they're only around a pretty short time.
I've been over that bridge a number of times. It's a neat old bridge, it doesn't have a solid deck. Other people are scared by that bridge but it's never really bothered me.
