New England Braces For a Wet and Penetrating Storm

A summer storm is set to hit New England with a quite a bit of, er, thrust.

A rather unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on your perspective) weather map created by AccuWeather.com and used by nj.com shows the pattern of the impending storm. And all we can say is that, if this were a rorschach test, we could very clearly identify what we are seeing.

The amusing image was made all the funnier by certain details reported in the nj.com article which opens, “If you hadn’t noticed, it’s going to be a wet Tuesday in New Jersey.” The article goes on to predict, “It’s possible one to two inches of rain could fall per hour.” That led BuzzFeed to quip on Twitter, “Something says we’re going to be getting a little more than 2.” It definitely looks like more than 2 inches to us.
