I filed my tax returns in mid-January

I used a pen and printed out the forms and sent them in.

Where's my refund? The IRS shows my return has been approved and money en-route to my bank.

I didn't need TurboTax, etc.!

Since I am very low income I can't afford to have someone do my taxes and every year it takes me at least 6 hours to do them myself on my computer. The IRS is not friendly to low income citizens. Supposedly they have tried to change that this year. I'll believe it when I see it. I can't even get them to give me a tax ID number. Since I was just scammed 2 weeks ago and everything financial in my life is now fucked up I have the feeling that doing my taxes this year will require about 5,000 bottles of Xanax pills. I'm looking forward to it like a root canal. And the thing is is that the IRS ALWAYS OWES ME MONEY! If I owed them money they'd want it paid yesterday while they take their good old time sending my refund. No wonder everyone hates them.

Very simple to use. It asks you questions and automagically puts the info in the right spot on the IRS forms.
Start saving now for next year?
Also the IRS is trying a no fee filing system on their web site.. The tax software companies are pissed.

Since I used them once in 2013 as a new template but it changes a lot. Also, I have to get info from my state for health credits(ACA) to include.. Last year that was a problem...there is always a problem. I sent them the stuff they said to send them but they asked again for documentation 2 months later. So I sent it again amd finally got it. My dad used to help me bit he died 5 years ago amd I have gone through IRS hell ever since.
Then since I didn't have a number i had to mailed it in. It is always something new and confusing.

Is your SSN fyi.

Its easy enough to do if you don't have a complicated tax situation (which I do not have).

Best of luck!

sent me a letter on Jan., 8 and it is my first time getting one of these numbers...
The number they gave me is not my SS #. Since I was just scammed, who knows what problems may surface as a result. My bank warned me that there will be problems for a while.

I had won some money in a drawing and they wanted a schedule 1 detailing it.

So, I filed out that form and mailed it in with a copy of the tax statement on the winnings.

I hope I get my $800+ refund soon as I need it to pay the property taxes with.

Such the hell living on next to nothing isn't it?

I really liked filing with pen and paper, but it became such a hassle I gave up....You can look over forms before submitting, so I am ok with it.
