Do you think the ACT should cancel its July test?

I live in FL and we are in the middle of a surge. Our hospitals are filling up. Should we proceed with standardized testing? Colleges across America are waiving SAT/ACT testing. I feel like they should cancel this test. Heck, they canceled the June test and it wasn’t nearly as bad.

I think they will probably cancel, especially considering it's being waived this year. Dream Girl Jul 2020 #1

The ACT uses local schools for testing. They only gave tests in June at schools that were allowed by the local board of health to be open. They had smaller capacity with 6 feet (double the normal anti-cheating distance) between test takers.

Check the website to see if the testing center you would use is open.

Although many schools are not requiring SAT or ACT scores for admission this year, the scores may be used for scholarship and competitive programs (like declaring engineering major).

There is no fee to reschedule to fall dates because of Covid. They have announced plans for extra test dates in the fall.

Hope that helps.
