How Russia is changing Baltic Sea borders - CaspianReport

Sabotage, intimidation, and coercion--three words that describe Russia's relationship with its neighbors. While Ukraine remains NATO's main focus, the Baltic region is now becoming a second hotspot. Finland and Sweden's entry into NATO has strengthened the alliance, but it has also fueled Russian counter-measures.

Leaked documents from the Russian Defense Ministry suggest plans to change the nautical charts to redefine Russia's borders in the Gulf of Finland and near Kaliningrad. Specifically they want to move the baselines that determine the maritime boundaries and in doing so expand their influence. The Russians insist the leaked document is not politically motivated and that they're just following international law, but NATO officials aren't buying it.
