Putin signs law totally banning LGBT propaganda

MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law banning propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations, gender reassignment and pedophilia, according to a corresponding entry made in the Russian State Duma (lower parliament database) on Sunday.

Amendments have been made to the law on information, information technologies and information protection and to other documents.

Under the new law, such propaganda is totally prohibited in social networks, the mass media, films and advertisements

I expect this will drum up more support for Russia from the dregs of our society and elected officials. Luckily they are not the majority, but they make a big ugly noise.

In this case the Russian Orthodox Church which is the "established church" of Russia though various others are allowed.

So is Putin the ex-Communist who found Christ?
Or the Russian Vicar of Bray (but with and army and police force)?

Not that the Communists were pro gay rights, but basically the same in other countries back then.
