Anyone here have experience with long-term disability payments

I've been taken out of work and got my employer's long-term disability payments. I have to pay them back.

Anyone ever in the same situation? I understand the LTD company can take your SSDI back payments. I'm just waiting to be turned down (first attempt at applying) for SSDI. can the insurance company take, or put you in debt, to them if their payout exceeds any SSDI back payments? I'm worried. What if I don't have enough back payments to cover 2 years of LTD payments?

Does anyone have experience with this?

I was just getting ready to put Vera on on Britbox. It's also on Acorn.

Britbox has more seasons than Acorn. I got Britbox just to see Vera, but Season 7 is not available. Seasons 8 and 9 just went up. Now I have to see if Season 7 is on Acorn

my wife used to work in the disability field as a nurse for a major insurance company.

Her advice is to check with an attorney.

But as others have said, don't worry about it, the odds are you won't have to pay it back, and if you do the payments would be small and should be without interest.

They are set by law what they can charge for applying for SSDI..A small percentage

That SS will discount your back payment by whatever amount you are receiving, that is what they did to me. If you go in to an office they will probably be able to tell you

When I applied and was finally approved, I had a couple of years back pay coming, I had received a settlement from the state workers comp. ins. and SS just took that amount from my back pay...

Added: they sometimes do an offset where they take some each month til it is payed off also..Now to be honest this has been my experience and it was about 25 years ago so things may have changed some since then.
