Sjogren's syndrome sucks. Dentures made it suck a little less.
If you've just gotten them, you'll learn to cope. You'll heal and discover the right adhesive for you and never look back.

(5,368 posts)I pried mine out in the car on the way home from work. Ugh. Hate them, and I can only wear the top one. They don’t leave their soaking case on my days off.

(24,675 posts)And it will be paid out of the Durham D’s pocket, because as we all know, teeth are not considered to be a part of the human body when it comes to covering dental procedures in the USA, and even the best dental insurance covers only simply procedures like cleanings.
Medical insurance in the USA has no problem paying out tens of thousands of dollars for surgeries and other procedures, as long as the teeth aren’t involved.

(38,684 posts)I had a couple of wisdom teeth extracted there, and was surprised to see GW's dentures on display in a glass case in the lobby. Of course, he did have four sets, so they weren't absolutely unique, but it was still surprising.
I don't know if this is the same set or not, but they certainly look similar. Lots of wood, hippopotamus ivory, gold fittings and brass springs.
