Related: About this forumMy ophthalmologist told me this morning that I no longer need prescriptive lenses.
His father first prescribed corrective lenses including prisms almost 50 years ago.
The tests showed that my eyes changed for the better. My doctor was amazed.

OP
What did you do? I always had eagle-eye vision, but at 40 it started to deteriorate.

(52,377 posts)1. I have had to wear glasses since I was 5.
I never lost or broke them, they were expensive for my family. When I was 8 the eye doctor said my eyes were better and I didn't need to wear them all the time. I was so happy I cried. By the following year my eyes got very bad and had to start wearing them all the time again. I hope you don't have that outcome.
I know how happy you must feel.

Now I have an array of glasses for different activities and I hate it!
