I originally tested positive on 3/1 and then negative on 3/6. I tested on a home test kit this morning and I'm positive 7 days after a negative test.

(3,653 posts)I think thats not uncommon. And people can test positive long after they have recovered. I was told that as long as I had no symptoms I was ok not to quarantine even though I still tested positive 12 days after becoming ill. My dentist office told me to come in for my appointment despite the positive test.

(28,834 posts)I went through a positive-negative-positive cycle myself over the space of about 10 days in January. It seems that the home tests aren't as sensitive as the lab ones, so the virus can drop to levels that aren't detected by the home ones, but it's not actually gone. The rebound bumps it back up to a level the tests can detect again.
