My weekend may not be fun, but I got three shots:
Covid - now one shot instead of a series of 2. Glad to update since I'm attending a wedding next week with people from out of town.
Flu - I've never gotten a flu shot as I was always told they're better for very young or older or immunocompromised, but I just got one anyway
Shingles - Highly recommended for people 50+. I have had chicken pox in my youth and two friends under 50 who can't get the shot yet but had shingles flare-ups and apparently they are miserable. I'm supposed to get it boosted in 2-3 months.
I know Covid and Flu can cause mild symptoms as they work, so hopefully I'll survive, but I'm glad to get everything updated. My previous three Covid vaccines each caused tiredness and a persistent headache for a day.

(702 posts)same shots in an hour. It's my second shingles vax, so hopefully no reaction
Got them all at the same time, too. Doctor also recommended the pneumonia one, but got that several years ago. Don't need another one just yet.

(7,688 posts)My only reaction so far is the "cement body" feeling where I just want to lay down again, but otherwise I don't feel too sick or headache-y so far.
Every time I've had a Covid vaccine I felt headache-y and tired the next day, but then the day after that I've consistently experienced an almost euphoric moment of feeling like a superhero - likely it's the point where the immune system goes off red-alert. Looking forward to that!

(14,775 posts)After about 7 hours I got body aches, confusion, and felt very very cold...I started to shake (tremors) for about 3 or 4 hours and could not sleep.
I'm ok this morning but last night was no fun.I got my two vaccine shots last year and had no problems..
I got Covid about two months ago and it was horrible. I though I was gonna die..
My doctor blew me off saying "thats normal" when you have Covid...
Needless to say I'm getting another doctor...
Anybody else have this problem after getting the covid booster?
