Tubi - Seven Days in May (1964)

A couple of weeks ago, there was an OP asking what movie you'd like to see remade. I mentioned this one. Just rewatched it today - hadn't seen it in probably 20 years.

Cast: Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas. Frederic Marsh, Ava Gardiner, Martin Balsam, John Houseman, Edmond O'Brien.

Director: John Frankenheimer

A great movie about the attempted overthrow of the United States by a RW General (Lancaster). This movie and Dr. Strangelover were 2 of my favorite movies of this time. Seems really relevant as we watch a new Fascist attempt at subverting our Democracy.

about the right wing and fascism in the 60s. Another favorite from that time was Pressure Point (1962) with Sydney Poitier playing a prison psychiatrist and Bobby Darin playing a neo-Nazi in prison for sedition. BD was really good!
