If you haven't seen this series yet, now would be a really good time to do it.

"Occupied" is one of the best tv series I've ever seen just in terms of the great plot and the excellent acting, but more importantly, it's really timely and disturbing though it's about 8-9 years old now. It involves the "soft" takeover of another country's government and assets by Russia as the indirect result of climate change, and the responses of other governments (the US doesn't fare well) and the moral choices made by the people involved. I can't recommend it highly enough. It was on Netflix for quite awhile, but I think it's on Amazon Prime now (yeah, I know) but also on Youtube and Apple TV. Seriously, you gotta see this.

Just got fire stick to get away from all the DTV shit.
And it was great to get away from local Sinclair brain washing.
Been binging some great series. I will look for this series, the only one I paid for is Prime.
Sounds very good and like you say timely.
