I watched "Trial by Fire" on Netflix. It came out in 2019, if you

haven't seen it I highly recommend it. It is about about a Texas man sentenced to death on false evidence and his12 year fight
where he was eventually cleared.

I have always resented the governor's office for gutting the death penalty review commission. I think that, if the commission had been preserved, the convicted man would have not been put to death.
