Please help keep this plant legal (petition)

Oddly in the day and age that marijuana is gaining public acceptance and legalization in many places the plant called Mitragyna Speciosa is under attack for one thing it does very well, and that is aiding those suffering from opiate dependency break the cycle and for many, for good. I have included a few links which describe the plant, and controversy and the current Whitehouse.gov petition.

I could detail my own struggle and tell you that I would not have the life I have today were it not for the ability to make a choice and have access to a tool that is ancient and well know for it's many curative properties in the places like Malaysia.
