I hated all those platitudes... One day at a time.. do the next right thing, You can't get drunk if you don't have the first one.. Keep it simple KISS...
The interesting thing for me was that it worked and I use it to this day.. YMMV

Don’t compare yourself to others, just look at your own life. It takes time, that’s for sure. But it will keep getting better. As opposed to drinking when it always gets worse over the long run. Find a group where you can feel at home and keep coming back.

Keep going, it gets easier. Just do the next right thing a day at a time. Sometimes just one day is a great beginning. 60 is awesome!

I'm a recovering cigarette addict, and I can never have them again. My health won't permit it.

After a decade without them, I have whole weeks when I don't think about them at all.

You'll get there too. A day at a time!

Good luck to you and very best wishes.

Keep hitting those meetings, and lean on your sponsors when you have a bad day.

60 days is gonna turn into 365, and 365 is going to turn into years.

Dont know you from a can of chartreuse paint, but I'm very proud of you. Keep it up!!!!

Just think - your two thirds of your way through the toughest part of getting and staying sober! Congratulations and keep coming back!

By the way - the person that got up earliest today has the most sobriety.

you are an inspiration to the others with more time because it shows them------and you-----that the program works ----nothing will so insure your sobriety as much as helping others --get an assignment---be a door greeter --greet the new people----

as far as climbing the seniority ladder AA is the only organization that gives the newcomer the title of "Chairman" -----setting them up and putting them away----good luck to you

Getting here is one of the hardest things to do. It is so healing to share my deepest & darkest moments surrounded by people who nod in understanding rather than clutch pearls and gasp. Welcome to the club & 👏 congrats.

I know what it's like, I've been there, too, so I know what it takes. I'd see people get coins for months of sobriety and didn't think I could do it myself. The milestone that sticks in my mind was when my friend ran the meeting and she asked me to pass out the coins - I gave out only one that night, I was able to give myself a coin for six months.

Hang in there, as the others have said, you have a great start. And I went from wishing I could get a coin to being the one who orders the coins for my group. And you deserve one from me. If I can do it, anyone can - I just kept coming back and celebrated 12 years last April.

Well done!

And don’t feel like you need to compare yourself to others in the rooms. They all had 60 days. Then 90, then 6 mos, then a year, etc. Keep moving forward ODAT.

Knowing you just got 60 helped me today. Congrats again.
