SO in the bathroom every 15 mins

Snorting his meds. Theres dust on the grinding surface. I don't know what it is...ritalin or antospasm or something else.

I feel something bad will happen soon. And its causing my pain to come back from stress. He will not attend rehab under any circumstances. Eta my drs said i have to deratch n hes an adult and if he harms himself thats on him. But I'll have to deal with the fallout. I don't have enough money to move out

Theyre 500 miles away. He wants my benzos and he'll grind n short he was stealing them i refused. Im so sick of his. Hes coughing runny nose spitting up clearing his thriat, the drs have no clue what he does. He got kicked off opioids bc they figured out he was abusing them, but not grinding and snorting then.

Hed overuse to the point he was falling over and nodding off. Hed use them up and then cancel his appmnt to make it look like he just ran out. He wanted more. He was playing games. Now hes also on a pain patch AND snorting a muscle relaxant constantly. I found white dust on his grinding surface. He lied. He lies constantly. I deserve so much better. I have 25k worth of dental work i have to complete.

I just feel today may be the day he kills himself or puts himself in a coma or something and i don't want to deal with any of it anymore. I'm a fool and should have bailed 27 yrs ago when he was on crack

I have no idea what happened the last few yrs. Suddenly, he pu his opioid pills n is using so many at once i was shocked and confused. He nvr did that b4. Hes 72. Its like his true junkie came out in concentrated form. He also can drink a gallon of wine but i nvr saw him drunk until weeks ago he's slugging it down until hes falling on the floor. I took pix of all this in case i need a lawyer or undermine him in court so every one sees when he lies.

On ssdi. My apt is a beaten up hovel. Id charge $500 the most to live in it, and that's pushing it. That still wouldn't cut it. If I had more cash, Id be gone.

addicts don’t realize or care about who they hurt or the fallout. Sounds like you can only take care of yourself at this point.

My usual strategy is ignore and not engage. I noticed this morning finally he kept walking into the bathroom every 15 mins and I'm hearing snorting. If it was once or twice I'd ignore it. I only get upset if I think its going to upset me or cause me hassle. A dead body will be unpleasant for me. Others tell me he's an adult let him kill himself and disengage.

Try attending some Al-Anon meetings if you can find some in your area:

https://al-anon.org/al-anon-meetings/

Those folks are the world's leading experts on dealing with and surviving life with addicted assholes. Even as an alcoholic early in recovery in the 90's, I benefited from just sitting in on their meetings.

Yes, you do deserve a better life and I wish you best of luck.....

The last few days have been better. I never know, and I'll never know, what sets off these binges. He may not know. But he's a selfish asshole, for sure. I try to ignore as much as possible at this point. But if he's falling on the floor its hard to ignore. Id leave if I had more money.

ETA He does have pain problems, etc. But you can still misuse.
