16 months sober

It has been a journey. I had awful anxiety attacks after I quit drinking I have finally started to get relief from in the past month. One day at a time.

I just passed 30 years, one day at a time.

I understood from the beginning that sobriety MIGHT give me a chance at a better life. Well, for me it happened; may it happen for you too.

What kept me sober the first few days, then weeks, then months, then years was finding groups of fellow alcoholics in meetings that were just like me and that didn't mind sharing their struggles in sobriety. That helped me overcome my shy and introverted personality until I finally started sharing my story.

I wish I could go back and hug and thank every single one of them.
