I just walked half a mile! My right leg is total jello right now but I did it!
After my relapse last month I wasn't able to walk more than a couple hundred feet without my leg giving out on me.
Boy as I'm sitting here typing this my leg is all pins and needles but it doesn't matter, I finally walked half a mile!
Sheesh when I think I used to run 10K races for fun....well, those days are over for me.

(10,223 posts)Gone secondary progressive now but that can only be confirmed over the course of a year or two with MRIs, objective signs of deterioration without relapses causing it, etc.
How is your sciatica? Is it any better? Is your doctor helping you? Hope you are doing okay now!

(490 posts)I will be happy when I can walk up and down stairs. A half mile is a way off for me. I know how you feel about the 10k races.
I used to be a dance instructor while in my twenties. When I first got sick I got so depressed I couldn't even listen to music for two years because it reminded me of so much I had lost. It was a very difficult time.
In any case, I'm glad you're moving forward.
