What do medical people think when an unvaccinated person comes in say, with a broken bone?
I know the word is that Covid is over and no one wears masks much anymore but I wonder how are hospital staffers handling the never vaccinated nowadays?
I ask as I have a neighbor (over 65) who fell and broke her arm and has had to be going back and forth to the ER about every other day for adjustments of her meds, cast, etc and I was wondering if hospital staff get upset with the unvaxxed or are they getting blase about it as most people seem to be (not me!) She does wear a mask I know that.

(7,080 posts)last week and EVERYONE in the office had a mask on. That made me happy. I also had one on as I have not stopped wearing one since this whole thing started. I would imagine it is harder and harder on the medical profession to keep people in masks as we are such a divided nation now.

(113,131 posts)NM was up to 95% with the first shot, so when the CDC said it was OK to stop wearing them, we did.
We went from nearly 100% masked to few people masked practically overnight.
And no, I didn't catch anything.

(60,391 posts)Had an er procedure. Dr., anesthesiologist, 2 assistants (nurses?). Not one wore a mask!
But then, they threw my shoes in a plastic bag & tossed it onto the gurnee & wheeled me into the procedure room.
I spent 14 hours sitting in er waiting. NONE of the staff had masks on. Very few patients did.
I love my 3M N95s.
Shithole Tennessee.

(5,690 posts)Went to a lung doc last month. No masks anywhere, in patients or staff except us. Never went back. Medical malpractice in my book.
