Has anyone tried the Caption Call phone?

My dad is deaf and not in good health and I'm his caregiver. I just discovered this last night and was wondering if anyone here has used it, and if so, what do you think of it?

No, but that's a neat idea. Very hard to talk on the phone if you can't hear what's being said. GreenPartyVoter Feb 2012 #1
This looks interesting, thank you. I've not heard of them but it looks interesting. uppityperson Feb 2012 #2

I have a CapTel phone which I recieved free from the State of North Carolina. Check out their website www.captel.com It's pretty good but, if the caller speaks at the speed of light you will have a little lagtime. It's better than nothing or having to ask people to make calls for you or to take this call because you can't hear the words. I have sensory nueral hearing loss hear some sounds but, not others. Give it a try - what do you have to lose. Good Luck
