Why is this hitting me so hard?

The shooting?
LilBit had her bday yesterday, turned 34. We had a day filled with love from strangers. We came home. I read the news. She went to sleep, she snuggled me like she always does. My world wasn’t affected yesterday. But I can’t stop crying for the kids. They just went to school.
LilBit is happy today, playing with her bday cards( the ones that play silly songs when you open them). I’m trying to be upbeat with her, I’m not sure why my heart hurts so much on this one.

Has it stopped in the last 50 years? Guess Not. That is why.

Just so others know, ON AUGUST 1, 1966..., Charles Whitman, went on top of a Texas Tower and shot a number of people.

5. We are NOT POWERLESS. New laws need to be passed.

We have been through this before. We made guns very difficult to get, and then those laws were reversed
because of the ...'GUN LOBBY"...

THE GUN LOBBY DOES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO MAKE ALL GUNS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE.
and they are very successful at doing just that.
