My husband is suffering from a major anxiety attack.

He has no insurance so cannot do anything about it. The COVID seems to have run its course. I still cannot smell or taste anything. And now, I have had a crick in my neck for the past week and yesterday I went for a very short walk in the park to finally get some air, and now I cannot even hold my head up. I have it iced with a towel-brace I made for my neck, as I cannot hold my arm up like that for a long time. It really hurts. A lot. A whole lot.

I have an appointment with my chiropractor later on. We don't have the money to do this, and if the 'insurance dodge' (i.e.: billing insurance and then having them kick it to me means that I don't have to pay before I leave.) doesn't work, then I have no idea what I am going to do. I am almost insane with worry and anger now. I am trying to calm down. The ice helps.

Again, this seems silly compared to other plights in the world. I just don't have anyone else to tell.

The only lingering symptom was fatigue that lasted a month. But we're good to go now.

It has all been sinuses and body aches. (And that damned crick in my neck.) Never even really had any crud buildup.

It has been rather mild, except for the loss of smell and taste. I feel completely vulnerable without them. All of my senses are now reduced. Neuropathy has taken my sense of touch. Diabetes has ruined my eyes (I used to have 20/15 in each eye). Now I have only my hearing, which, as a former rock musician/singer, suffered even though I tried to protect it.

A bee sting could take me out and I would never see or hear it coming, and probably wouldn't even feel it until it was all over. What kind of a life is this for someone who loves the outdoors and doing things? (Hint: it isn't one.)

Anxiety is real.

Post-covid symptoms suck. I am having them myself so I know. Please continue to tell us.

So, you caught it too? I lost smell and taste, but it came back, sometimes I feel my taste is still dimmed 2 yrs later.

I'm sorry about your neck. Yes, bizarre things happen if you move wrong. I did something to my neck getting out of the recliner. It was to the point I could barely move.

Hope things get better.

However he has figured out that a lot is this is because of his having to take all the cold medicine for the COVID onslaught. He never takes anything, so he was not prepared for the side effects of taking that stuff. I am glad to discover that he feels most of this is due to that and not anything I have done. (Anyone else live with a Neanderthal? One who usually communicates in grunts and single words? It is hard to know what is going on with someone like that.)

His symptoms are largely gone. Mine are doing much better. My neck is still an issue, but I am keeping it iced. My ear hurts all the time from being so cold, but what can ya do? I am still far from able to jump back into what it takes to keep this place from falling apart, and as usual, there is no help for me. It drives me crazy when I cannot go take care of something that. needs to be taken care of. I mean, really...
