Just had my call in medication evaluation

It wasn't supposed to be until 8:40 but I checked in early so she called early. I did the whole appointment with my new little kitten, Merlin, crawling around on my head, face and shoulders.

I did tell her that, despite feeling much more stable, I anticipate the next few weeks will be VERY anxiety ridden and depending on the results of the election, possibly beyond. She 100% agrees.

My psych PA is thrilled with my progress, especially considering the stressors in my life over the past 2 weeks (out of town guests, car trouble, refrigerator and dryer dying, someone actually dying in my brother's house, anxiety about the election, the constant worry about why Merlin's mom abandoned him and my sleep interrupted so I can feed him.). She said my progress made her day. We are just going to carry on with this same medication and do another follow up in 2 months.

I see my regular therapist on the 30th and a follow up on my wellness visit on Nov 18.

Ah, and now Merlin is fast asleep.

You have a Iot going on, and considering the stakes of this election, the fate of our democracy, it's rough. You're doing so well, keep on your path.

You are handling all those things at once better than I would. MUCH better, and with kitten-love sleep deprivation to boot. I don't have any meds or diagnoses, thankfully, but one thing to worry about at a time, please, or my even keel slowly turns toward TILT.

I guess you are worried Merlin was abandoned by his mama because there is something wrong with him? I hate to say this as a supposed comfort, but his mama may have been run over by a car and Merlin is a super-strong newborn who set out looking for her when she didn't come back from hunting - and found you.

I'm glad you made your psych PA's day! Bet she doesn't say that to everybody.
