hang in there everyone and me too

the situational depression has been turned up to 11 ---this combined with the "normal depression " is about a 20 .

lorazepam is an evil little drug (adavan ) you take it to knock off the edge -it works but when it wears off you go back to so called normal plus get a spike into the zone of amped up depression/angst .

I was prescribed a round, maybe 90 tablets, of Xanax about a year ago and took them sparingly. I have an addictive personality and often binge drink when things get bad, HORRIBLE habit I know. Anyway I could feel how wonderful those could make me feel if I decided to start down that path. Luckily I managed to always keep it to small dosages here and there and never tried anything more, and eventually I ran out of that script and didn't ask for more. Otherwise I can easily see myself hooked on them.

I have MAJOR problems with stress and would fucking love to find something SAFE like that to remove the constant stress, depression, and anxiety I'm under. SSRIs and SNRIs do a little to take raise the basement a bit but they so far haven't done much more than that and I've taken 4 or 5 different ones.

There is a course of Welbutrin that I was prescribed that I haven't tried yet that I should. I hear good things about it from some people and god knows I need something right now :'(

there are new ones but generally very much like the others. It's trial and error and we are the test subjects .I even did a paid trial blind test for a new one last year ( the pay works out to be nothing once you figure getting to the office etc.....

Its surprising how little the prescribers of these drugs know about them I am not anti meds but after almost 30 years of trial and error
I wish I had found a shrink to talk to.

crying works for me and I am a 65 year old grandfather .
