(13,636 posts)I know how you are feeling! I hate my anxiety disorders, but am gradually living better with them since I got help; but that hasn't put an end to it for sure.
I wish none of us ever had to feel like this

(60,579 posts)I had my first panic attack when I went back to consult after I left the corporate world. The worst. I understand.

(13,758 posts)because I have had two different friends through the years who thought they were having panic attacks. And it turned out they were experiencing low blood sugar crashes (awful, debilitating experiences)...I know as I got older, especially, if I ate sugared things without simultaneously stabilizing my blood sugar with protein I would get the shakes and that paralyzing feeling - the worst. Please feel better soon, iris!

(34,450 posts)I got up fairly early for me, 10am ish, had my usual decaf tea and I had my tablespoon of cottage cheese. I take ibuprofen and want something light in my stomach when I take the meds.
Your suggestion of food is great.

(13,758 posts)bit of cottage cheese is protein, so should have prevented any crashing... (though, sugar "tolerance" can vary from person to person, I imagine)
But your sammich sounds delicious!! Bon appetit!

(20,219 posts)Anxiety attacks suck.
For me, once I finally learned what the symptoms were, it was a relief.
Hope it subsides quickly!

(29,862 posts)I don't have anxiety too badly. I hate taking drugs I am not sure I need.

(34,450 posts)I made chamomile tea and am still doing slow carefully deep breaths. It is much less then this am, but it wouldn't take much for me to weep & hyperventilate again.
I am not reading anything in LBN& GD that is emotionally stressing today. Ugh.
