Can anyone relate to the quest to find yourself ? I'm 59. You would think at my age, I would know 100% who I am. I think I do, but I have a real sense that there is more to discover and explore. Of course, my conditions (MDD, social anxiety, and the "thin skin issue" ) have really limited me, but I'm slowly but surely making gains in therapy. In December I'm going to start on a MAO inhibitor that my new doctor really thinks will help me immensely.
Enough of my first-world quest. I really hope all of you, and you lurkers, can continue to grow at my age and older. If you're not growing, you're dying, for real.
All the best to our members and lurkers!

It is a worthy quest.

(13,467 posts)the question of who you are. Nobody knows 100% who they are. In fact it all seems to be more and more of a mystery as time goes on, sometimes in a frightening way, and sometimes in an exhilarating way. But it's never dull.
All the best to you in your coming decades!

(52,370 posts)Be careful with MAOs since that are a lot of restrictions regarding different types of food and Rx interactions. My neighbor wasn't and has since learned from her mistake.
