Mental Health Support
Related: About this forumLexapro is a lifesaver
It's been nearly a month on the Lexapro and I've seen a remarkable reduction in the physical manifestations of my anxiety with minimal side effects. I still have some tough moments, so the doctor prescribed an additional medication for those few occasions, but the bottom line is I am finally feeling human again. So if your physician brings it up, don't dismiss it out of hand.

(72,017 posts)it is hard to sort through all the info and disinfo out there about meds. but shit, try them. and if one doesnt work, try another.
i went through many diff meds before finding one that has really helped.
i am excited that there is starting to be science about drug efficacy based on genes. hard science is slowly working it's way into mental health, and that is important for everyone and everything.

(23,083 posts)so she is on way more than Lexipro, but no more Ritalin.
Two days after her break and going missing for 3 days with no money or ID, getting tased by the police and breaking her arm when she fell, she was doing well and still is nearly a month later.
