I'm going to a holiday party tonight. It's a Paint 'n Sip; might be fun.
Don't know what they're serving but I'll tell about it tomorrow!
Pork back ribs slow baked. Dry rub of salt, pepper, garlic powder and some cumin. BBQ sauce late in the baking.
Baked sweet potato
Corn on the cob
Cornbread (a leftover)
Mac and cheese
Coleslaw
Ducky's best human buddy is coming to visit.

(22,537 posts)I didn't have any chicken broth, so I had to be a little creative. I used canned chicken, drained and made some broth with a bouillon cube and a package of Ramen seasoning. I used egg noodles. Added some California blend veggies.

(1,707 posts)Made oven baked white bean falafel croquettes which I pressed onto lavash bread slathered with balsamic-walnut dressing and added sliced tomato, sliced red onion, pickled beets and whole romaine leaves. I drizzled on a good dose of tahini and then carefully folded everything into a wrap. Cheers!🥂

(964 posts)DH got a rotten tooth pulled today and we're on soft food for a couple days. I'm trying to think of things that are soft enough but don't raise his glucose too much. Tomorrow morning will be egg custards with porridge later.
He's of course asking for gelato. I'll likely get him some when I'm out tomorrow.
I'm also thinking of meatless lasagna, if I make the noodles thin enough and cook them really soft. But I won't be able to have the nice toasty, but tough, layer of mozz on top. Maybe just a light sprinkle.

(1,556 posts)Brown rice with carrots, peas, edamame, and topped with spicy Szechuan sauce with added orange.
I love this stuff because it gives me two big work lunches out of one bag (or in this case, a dinner and a lunch).
Topper is a handful of TJs dark chocolate orange sticks (the orange is like firm jelly inside the chocolate).
Can you tell where I did my shopping on the way home from work today?

(42,202 posts)Love those chocolate orange jelly sticks. Didn't see them or I would have bought some.
I bought my fave Indian palak paneer. Also herbed pizza crust, and shrimp dumplings. Balsamic glaze! I love to put the glaze over cherry tomatoes and basil leaves.

(1,556 posts)We ended up wandering the aisles looking for our usual stuff and ended up spending over $130 tonight and still managed to forget a few things. Seems to be a lot more things to choose from lately, too. Im telling myself that it would have been twice that at a regular supermarket. *sigh*
