Breakfast Saturday 17 January 2026

Later this morning I'm planning on making broiled tomatoes, over medium egg, vegan sausage and toast. The usual pot of hot tea

Indiana maple syrup.

Today, I'm as sore as one could be. I had one of those sofa beds in my den for over 20 years. We been wanting to get rid of it, because it's not very comfortable to sleep on. I need the space to move the treadmill out of Loretta's sewing room. There was no way two old people could move that old couch to the outside of the house, so I can get rid of it. So I brought up some tools and literally dismantle the couch, and carried it out in pieces. I never dreamed how hard that would be, but I'm happy it's done. Only took me about 5 hours, lol.

Good Morning 🌞

They can recycle the metal. Sounds like a smart idea to me.

Maybe you could have broken down the job into smaller work sessions to avoid the sore muscles?

takes metal and sells it to a recycling center. The wood boards inside the couch are oak. I'm pulling the staples, and unscrewing the screws to use the wood for other projects.

Frightfully expensive right now. I’ve delayed action on a deteriorating shed because of it.

Ancient grains granola cereal with a navel orange, later.

Take it easy today Emile. That was hard work taking the sofa bed apart.

Good Morning🤗

I made the pancakes yesterday, used a blend of apple juice and almond milk in the mix. I haven't had pancakes for a long time, so they tasted good. With maple syrup.

Black coffee
