(113,131 posts)and I pried the strips up with a scraper that uses a razor blade. That left me with just a little glue residue and I found that lighter fluid (naphtha) did a good job of softening it so I could wipe it off. Do use lighter fluid as a solvent only with great ventilation and far away from heater, stove and water heater pilots.
You'll want to soak them off with solvent if this is a fiberglas tub. Test the solvent in an inconspicuous place to make sure it won't ruin the finish.

(26,549 posts)One of goo gone's ingredients is naphtha, if I remember correctly. The acetone in goo gone will also help. It's significantly less flammable.
