Goth flowers

I couldn't resist the Black Magic petunias at the garden center today. They are full-on black and look like velvet. So cool! Thankfully, I had just sorted through my flowerpots last night and knew I had the perfect pot for them:

Listened to Pixies while planting to give them extra oomph.

Will post another photo in a month or so, when it's filled out.

I don’t buy many annuals but I’ve been sorely tempted to buy these.

They ate all the shrubs and perennials I planted my first Spring here. "Deer resistant" my butt, lol! Finally gave up the fight and have accepted that container gardening on the deck is the only safe option (and only the upper deck- they actually came up on the lower deck and ate my tomatoes and peppers one year).

And in the red pot.

I think it is going to look quite sophisticated and exotic.
