Im back in the life,

Last edited Thu Apr 18, 2024, 06:45 AM - Edit history (1)

It's has been a hard couple years since MrsK passed, and I made the choice about LilBit( my challenged daughter) to go into state care.
About a month ago, my neighbor was here and said, " you need a dog or a cat," Seed planted.
Well I knew, a dog was out of the question, but I also love the kitties. So I made a few calls, found a remote cat place,( we have always adopted, other than LilBit's service dog). The admin spoke to me, listened to MY situation, and then asked me to call back in a few days.
This went on, until, last Thursday when the admin called me and said," can you come meet Gladys? She is 6 years old, quiet, but a bit, assertive. I said, ok."
Long story shorter,
Gladys is on my lap, as I type this, she has explored, ate, jumped on my lap, got my first kitty kiss
Only been 6 hours.
I thanks the admin, who listened,
Say hello to "LilGlad"

Edit, to add

This woman who runs the shelter, didn't charge me.
Not only, did she help LilGlad, she helped a Veteran. I left a donation. If you would like to thank her, just message me.
This woman is doing a big job, In a very small town.

Koz

and that's a real mistake. Adult cats not only have learned a few manners pleasing to humans, they have enough wisdom to be grateful that a human has given them a comfy home and good food. I adopted adults and swore I'd never adopt another kitten.

Gladys has already decided you're good people. That puts you are ahead of the game.

of companionship and love...you'll find that companions such as this will be well worth their weight in gold. I've always loved my animal companions, for the daily joys in life, small or large that they may be, that they bring to one's life.

A tortie with 'tude!

One of my sisters has a longhair one and yup, she doesn't say much except she can do a stare and glare severe enough to stop the big black lab she was "forced" to live with, cold!

Hope LilGlad enjoys her new spot!

Nope, she's a mix, mostly tortoise, and she, is truly a female. Left her alone yesterday to get groceries. She ate, drank, everything she had ignored since Wednesday.
Meowed at me , loudly when I got home. I had her food
I built her a floating shelf, so she can look outside, she ignores it, she will only look outside, while on my recliner,
LilGlad is truly,a Queen B.

Damn, it feels good to have, a female in the house again!!
Can't be a king ,without a Queen
