Breakfast time, at this home for wayward felines, is at 6am. NOT 4:30am

Which is when Madoc started pulling the sheet off of me, this morning. I was so very sound asleep. He gave up after a few more tugs and then was back at precisely 6.

Other than that, he has been such a sweetheart, this weekend. I'm having to keep my stress at a minimum because I had to stop taking one of my medications to let it 'wash out' of my system before starting on a new one. He and Arthur cuddled with me while I binge watched 'Northern Exposure', yesterday.

We will continue watching, later this afternoon. I'd forgotten how wonderful that show is.

2. Yea, I do try, though.

Arthur, Gryff and Carys are such well behaved kid cats. Madoc, who looks like he's never missed a meal and found a few extra, is another story. He's also the ONLY one who knocks things to the floor!

BUT his purr is loud, his meows are sweet and his snuggles are warm so I forgive his fake starving act and his obsession with clearing flat surfaces.

4. Also finding an empathetic, kind and caring FNP has helped, immensely

This guy is a 100%+ improvement over that callous female I'd seen, before. This first visit was about the best I've ever experienced. Now I have a 3 person health care support team that I feel comfortable with AND actually trust. All 3 listen to me and, unlike that 'other one' I leave the appointment feeling optimistic instead of hopeless and more anxious than when I walked through the doorway.

My emotional state is about the best it's been in decades.

6. On weekend I used to keep my bedroom door closed so my cat wouldn't jump on us to demand we feed her

She would keep hitting the door until one of us gave in and got up and fed her!

sleep in until almost 6:30, after being up from 2 til 5. obviously, he is enjoying the cooler first day of fall.

I loved Northern Exposure. So glad you are enjoying it. And so glad you have found a great FNP. May this be the start of a great new chapter!

8. I pretty much had the same experience last night.

Around 4:20 or so Jethro jumped up on the bed and started singing me the song of his people. I rolled back over to sleep and he and his brother Monty were back about 6am. I think today is "national wake your humans up 90 minutes early day" in feline world.

9. It is the beginning...

Of a new season, good that change of the good kind is in the air in you environs!

I'm getting ready for the last few weeks of my tomato/squash/potato garden, we've already had frost the past two nights.

I get to see Mikey this week, he's doing great for an outdoor/indoor cats in a rather wild location. He's 11 this year.

I'm glad the kitties are keeping watch over you while you transition from one medication to another. They're good at that.

10. You haven't lived until . . .

A cold, wet cat decides near your head is a good place to dry out and warm up.

At 3 am in the morning.

I wake up enough to pull him under the blankets with me.

Then the purr fest starts.

And he takes off once dried and warmed up.

Cat is in charge!

In and out as he pleases, gets fed on demand - if not, the claws come out!

Starts with a gentle tap on the face, maybe some licking, gets more insistent if that is ignored.

Also in the small hours of the morning.
