Any experience with a Scat Mat?

Our growing puppy can now reach our kitchen counter and all other places she shouldn't go. Someone suggested Scat Mats to me, but I'm hesitant at the idea of her getting shocked.

The idea of shock training is kind of distasteful for me.

Just a mild tingle. Kind of like tasting a 9v battery.

You dont like it, but its not going to leave you in therapy.

But you can object to almost any kind of aversion training I guess; even yelling. Some work, some don't.

We tried the mats with a siren as opposed to a shock component. They are pressure sensitive and make a noise when an animal sits or stands on them.

They only worked while they were on. As soon as we took them away its like they were never there at all. Cats.
