What;s interesting is Germany was once a cluster of over 100 mini-states until united by the kaiser maybe?

Until the late 19th century, when they were united by Prussia, which was the largest and most powerful German state.

One thing I noticed was that the music (which is from 'Inception') changes right as Poland disappears from the map.

Term has been in use since Julius and his Roman successors ran the region until ~440 CE or so.
The term usually defines the ruler over many lesser territories, if memory serves (which these days is just occasionally) --- explains the "count-less" castles thereabouts.

The Modern German pronunciation of "Kaiser" is the same as the Classical Latin pronunciation of "Caesar".

I hope that at least a few people watch this video and realize that "old Europe" isn't very old at all.
