As a certified nursing assistant for more than 20 years, Pam McCord was living a dream.
"I enjoy what I do. Its my passion. I love caring for others," she told WRAL Investigates.
That dream turned into a nightmare on April 2 when she tried to help a patient at the Cypress of Raleigh nursing home.

(43,049 posts)it looks like they did a urine test for coke (unasked is why did they have to do a coke test for a strain injury?) and she failed. Failurein such a csse is common, so they did a follicle test, which is more accurate, and she passed. Twice. Then they tested the same urine and she failed again. So she's fired for no cause.
This soinds in sane and wastrful, unless they had another reason to get rid of her. Maybe rehab costs for the strain were oit of line. Maybe they just didn't like her.
But it stinks to the next county.

(19,323 posts)I had a sailor swear up and down he didnt do cocaine until after the special courts martial found him guilty. Then he told me he actually did it. Sorta took away my benefit of doubt from people in that moment.
