No Recording Devices Will Be Allowed In Federal Cannabis Rescheduling Courtroom

1. Riiiight. Like it is at all possible to prevent recording devices anymore

Unless they take every smartphone and frisk all the attendees there is no longer any possible way to prevent recording devices. And even then there are those writing pens that are also recorders or transmitters now.

It just is not possible anymore.

2. Not to give anything away but

there are neat little voice and video recorders that double as pens. Most people would never know the difference.

3. AFAIK it's standard in fed court for no recording devices.

Any time I have been involved in court proceedings the notices always said no recording devices. Since to get into a courthouse you are generally searched and the security team know the difference between an iPhone and a much older Nokia. That said, there isn't a lot stopping anyone bringing in an older phone and making a call in the courtroom. After all the recording device is not in the courtroom, no? Just hope the phone has a good mike and the connection is good enough...

Obviously the 'outcome' is the most important point. The courts are still open to the public, I presume, so I'll accept the publics recollection.
