Ugh. CNN lying with statistics.

Okay, the headline is

"Biden has lowest first-year Senate confirmation rate among last three presidents, according to new report"

I noticed at the end of the article that they gave the absolute number of Biden's senate confirmations, but only the RATE of the ones he was being compared to. Sure enough, if you go to the source you see that even though Biden's senate confirmation RATE is lower (because of obstructionist R's, which the article barely mentions), his absolute number of confirmations is higher than the Orange Menace's.

I guess in CNN's defense, the non-partisan report heads a section with the same "lowest percentage" slant, but they didn't have to just copy and paste. They COULD bother to read the report and then report it accurately. I guess that's too much to ask.

I go after the individual reporter or provider. Tie it directly to the person providing it.

One of my two majors in College was Statistics and on top of the complex mathematics is being able to clearly describe the statistics. So flunky just glancing at a table can easily misreport, even before any bias comes into influence.
