I need a little help about my expectations of my Part D

Medicare drug supplemental plan. I was paying about $24/month. But MoO has discontinued my coverage. The first quote I received for a new plan is for twice as much. Are all plans doubling in price for 2025? Is this due to capping annual out-of-pocket at $2,000 vs $8,000 this year?

Some of the increase is due to the $2000 cap, but it's a big improvement for most of us. Silent Type Dec 5 #1

Are you using an insurance broker who can give you cost of other comparable Part D plans that include coverage for your meds and any meds you might need during the plan year.

In any event, good luck. It's overly complicated.

I was shocked at how easy it is. If you just know your meds and doses it will do all your thinking and calculating for you. (P.S. Thanks for reminder! I need to get this done!)

They will be able to give you accurate price plans, tell you which pharmacies cover which drugs, and set you up so it comes right out of your SS check each month (if you want).
