Lowe's gives a 10% veterans' discount.
Ask customer service how to apply.
At checkout just ask for it and give your phone number.

Home Depot also offers the discount as does a lot
of other business's. It never hurts to ask.

2. You can also register online. They'll verify your service,

and then when you enter your associated phone number the discount automatically gets applied. Much easier than Home Depot. Lowe's discount applies to online orders as well.
