Interactive map that show which indigenous land you live on

https://native-land.ca/?fbclid=IwAR0eNUsPkFuWV5QKn8ZX0pXRhLgC-tsrMJfQpO8fTBUD8TqsjTeAshO-jYs

This map allows you to type in your address and you can see the territory of what is indigenous land, the language that was spoken, and the treaty number.

Here's what appears on the map for my area:

It also shows other areas on earth, such as Northern Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and of course South America.

But, it made take a deep breath to see it on an actual map. This is a fascinating resource, thank you for posting it.

Makes me sad 😥 to see all that they had and all that they lost. If they were still in charge, we'd be living in paradise

territory..we are in a very strong Hohokam territory..many other areas overlap in beautiful color..this totally makes sense when I look around at the familiar names of the indigenous people..

If you get a chance to visit Tombstone..and the territorial Museum there are several pictures of Geronimo..a leader, a very rich history of the valiant efforts men just trying to protect their people and their land..

On second thought, how stupid of me.. the whole of the United States is indigenous territory..of many American Indian tribes..my former residence in Massachusetts..Wampanog and Mohawk tribes..

I went out to visit Geronimo's grave. Mostly out of curiosity, but I felt like I was looking at history.

Being at the end of the Trail of Tears, everyone in my state should know they live on indigenous land, but being as red and fucking stupid a state as it is, I doubt they know, or acknowledge, which tribal lands they actually inhabit.

I live on Muscogee lands. Have known that for years, and have only lived here about 1/3 of my life.

Yes, the right-wingers think that they descend from the land here in North America. Some really believe that!
