The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was founded in 1909 to ensure the rights of all people and to eliminate racial discrimination. The organization is dedicated to educating the community about Constitutional rights. They inform the public of discriminatory acts and use legal means to ensure the enactment and enforcement of federal, state and local laws that protect civil rights and guarantee equality.
