For a holiday gift this past season, a friend gave me a day planner for 2018 titled "Freedom" and each day has a quote from Paulo Coehlo.

I haven't read his work so now my reading list is longer!

My tastes tend to run to early John Irving (Garp, Hotel NH, Own Meany), to Murakami (1Q84, Kafka), Michael Cunningham (The Hours - one of my very favorites)

Of course one of his first works “The Alchemist” was just so profound! I then read everything he wrote. Some of them good, others wondered, all in all worth the read!
