Tampa Bay Rays and Pinellas County's deal for new stadium on pause

Part of the fun of professional sports, when the team threatens to leave if they don't get a new facility.

These sports owners want their stadiums at taxpayers’ expense while ticket prices to the games are ridiculously high. Priorities need to be addressed because hurricanes are not a fluke and there will be others and that’s a fact.

I'm a proximity fan of the Rays. All the games are on Bally Sports in New Smyrna Beach. I watch and enjoy their games. The Rays' ownership is always trying to leverage "moving" to shake down the taxpayers. Fuck 'em. Don't let the dome hit you in the ass...
